Keeping quiet

Novel connection. When Richie punches Russell in the face, his mother wants to call the principal, however, Russell wants to keep quiet about the whole incident. Russell’s mom’s response was, “I’m not doing nothing. If one adult did this to another, he be in jail. Why should it be different for kids?” (p. 45)

Blog Question: Should kids solve their own problems or should adults/parents get involved? Explain.

I think that kids shoud solve their own problems because parents can't always help us. Some people always go to their parents when they got problem and they doesn't do anything. It is really bad to them because they can't do anything when their parents not with them. When I was young I was like them. I doesn't do anything and just call my mom but now I know I was wrong. When my mom was sick and I did something wrong I wasn't know what to do and just worried about it. It was so scared that I can't do anything. So I never call my parents. I just solve my own problems and now when I got any problem I doesn't worrying. I found solution and solve the problem.
